Hello, I'm Catholic but I've always been very interested and fascinated by Islamic history, contributions to humanity and the religion itself. So I wanted to ask you some questions about Islam

Question 1: Are Christians allowed to read the Qur'an? Recently I got the idea of studying other faiths, mainly their holy scriptures (such as the Qur'an, the five books of Confucianism, and Shintoism). I would one day like to read it if it's allowed

Question 2: Are Christians allowed to visit Mecca? I find it so interesting and awe inspiring, plus I would like to visit the mosque for I have seen it is an arquitectonical beauty

Question 3: Are there any living claimants to be Caliphs? It is within my understanding that only direct descendants from the Prophet's daughter Fatimah (I hope that's correctly spelled), and his uncle are able to become Caliphs, if this is so, then I wonder if there are any living claimants to the Caliphate
