I had intended to pray all night during the last 10 days and this unintentionally has completely messed up my sleep schedule. Over a few days, I now stay up al night and mornig till dhuhr (around 2 pm). I pray dhuhr and by that time I am exhausted. So I go to sleep and only wake up about am hour before iftar (around 8pm).
I do iftar and put my kids to sleep and in doing so, usually end up falling asleep for an hour or 2 again (usually around 10 to kidnight). Then I wake up and pray from midnight to fajr. But I am too rested at that time to sleep again so I continue reading quran and listening to lectures in the morning till dhuhr again.
My question is that I feel that my fasting has beco.e too easy since I am sleeping through the most difficult hours of fasting. I generally dont do this but since I wanted to pray for Qayam al lail, it ended up messing up my schedule when I stayed up 2 nights in a row.
Should I not be doing this. Should be staying awake through the day and getting a bit of sleep after iftar and then waking up again?
