Hi guys, I have always wondered what Islam says about love and how it happens.
I am a Muslim male at his teenage years wondering about how I will marry and love someone. My parents had an arranged marriage in which I REALLY do not want to have as I would like to find, meet and love a girl who is the one for me whilst also having fun, this is the way I find more natural.
I have a few questions about love in which I would like experienced scholars to comment on or at least someone with a lot of knowledge since I do not want a HARAAM idea. Please give reasons to your answers where possible.
Am I allowed to have a girl friend?
Am I allowed to have sexual intercourse after marriage as a means of pleasure, not having children?
Am I allowed to live the person whom I love in the same house, if not, how the hell do I retain a relation ship?
Am I allowed to take her out ( a date basically) in order to better know and undertstand her?
Is the method of arranged marriage one that is the only way of love? If so, I am really saddened.
Am I allowed to stay at her house, and vice versa, for a period of 1 or 2 weeks, ( I know the rules of no premarital sex and I will abide by that)?
Can I take her to places abroad to strengthen our relation ship?
I will have more questions in which I will make a different post on, but for now these are the ones that are on my mind.
