I was thinking about the conquest of Makkah, and the Prophet's (S.A.W) act of mercy upon the tribe of Quraish. After destroying the idols in the Kabah, he (S.A.W) stood in the doorway and asked his cousins and tribesmen what should be done with them. They replied, " you are our noble brother and cousin, we expect nothing but good from you"

The Prophet (S.A.W) said, "I speak to you in the same words as Yusuf spoke to his brothers. This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free."

Subhan Allah !! What a beautiful act of mercy, and yet Prophet Muhammad's SAW mercy is nowhere near the Supreme Mercy of Allah SWT. If the Apostle of Allah (PBUH) exercised such great mercy on the conquest of Makkah, just think about the Mercy of THE MOST MERCIFUL on the Day of Reckoning.
