One of the most discouraging things I’ve been seeing lately on ALL Islamic subs is “this Muslim is bad, this Muslim is good” this group is “better”, all Arabs are bad, Indian / Pakistani Muslims add non-Islamic to the deen and have Hindu traditions etc. Quraniyoon seemed to be a good place to get some perspective until they turned out to be just as divided and some are calling others Mohammad SAAS worshippers.
This is what we have become? This is the work we’ve done with the deen after the Rasool left us with this amanah?
Allah is watching us, recording our words, looking inside our hearts and knows precisely what our intent is.
To everyone who hates Arabs: It is an Arab who will intercede on your behalf on judgement day. Remember that.
Arabs who think they are superior to other races: You will be before the Great Judge, Allah, on judgement day, and asked about your arrogance and cruelty.
For non-black Muslims: Bilal AS alone is not proof that you are tolerant and non-racist. Most people are intolerant towards black people. I have seen this in the Middle East, the US, AND India.
For Black Muslims: Not every single Muslim you meet thinks they are superior to you. I’m sorry if we have not been a good ummah to you.
For Muslim men on this sub: You have to accept that women are more interested in the deen and want to ask questions with the advent of texhnology. You can’t assume you know better and you can’t get offended if a sister asks questions you don’t like. Islam was not made ONLY for your likes and dislikes. They are soiritually equal before Allah. You are no better than a woman, despite what your culture tells you.
Takfir left and right. Hatred. Discord. Anger. So much anger.
Why? What went wrong? The kuffar are watching you all with absolute GLEE. Do you know that there are paid people who defend Israel online? I’m sure you do. Well, did you also know that there are people who actively work towards spreading misinformation about Islam so that it can lead people astray? In these subs?
I personally know a MUSLIM MAN who used to go to mosques during jumaa to spy on what Muslim Imams say in an NYC mosque. He reports it for money to law enforcement. And he’s PROUD. Why? Because they are not from his religious sect so he’s doing it with glee.
With these kinds of Muslims, who needs enemies?
What I know is, I will fight for you no matter where you come from. Because you’re part of MY ummah. But mind what you are spreading in this world. And mind and fear Allah because you thinking that you’re “better” than a group of MUSLIMS is the antithesis of Islam. We all have a lot of shortcomings. We make mistakes. We sin. Don’t hate your fellow Muslims, of all people, when those who hate us see us as the same.
Those who hate us don’t differentiate when it comes to hating us. You’re a Muslim? You are one dimension to them.
Wake up my brothers and sisters, fear Allah within your ummah and work towards bridging the gap, not enhancing it.
I will start. As an Arab, I agree that a lot of Arabs are ethnocentric and racist. But I actively speak out against it and keep pushing till the other person either gets it or shuts up. Not every Arab is from the Gulf. Not every Arab is rich. And not Every Arab is good. But I will never prefer an Arab who sows discord on this earth over a God-fearing Indian or Pakistani or Nigerian or Indonesian person.
I come with the best of intentions. I am far from perfect and have my own sins and issues to deal with. But you are my ummah. I care about us and you and your families and your actions. I hope you won’t take my message as some Holier-than-thou one. I am not better than ANYONE. But I want my ummah to be better. My ummah is what is important.
Wa jazakum Allah khayr.
