Salam to all,
I am 29 years old. My brother has referred me here as he has trust on you guys as ijma e ummat.
I have resources to marry and its extremely difficult for me to save myself from sins that come with not getting married. I have been asking my family to get me married from a long time , 5 years or so) but they are unable to find me a match.
My questions are
- Should i get married myself or wait further for family to do it for me.
- If my family stops me from getting married does the following hadees apply and I can choose not to obey them:
Sahih Bukhari Hadees # 15
Narrated Anas: The Prophet said None of you will have faith till he loves me more than his father, his children and all mankind.
Sahih Hadees
- If my family forces me prefer someone based on other than religion, should i obey them or obey this hadees
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman (otherwise) you will be a losers.
- If i am not getting married just because my family is not able to find a match (not bcz i cant afford it, wouldn't it be violation of this hadees)
Narrated `Abdullah: We were with the Prophet while we were young and had no wealth whatever. So Allah's Apostle said, O young people! Whoever among you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze and guard his modesty (i.e. his private parts from committing illegal sexual intercourse etc.), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting diminishes his sexual power.
