I think my grandmother is going to die.
My grandmother is a green card holder in this country, meaning she’s ineligible for health insurance.
She came to America back in October, to assist my aunt with her new baby. Now, due to the COVID-crisis, she can’t go back to France.
That wouldn’t have been an issue if she hadn’t also been showing blatant symptoms of COVID recently. She’s been finding it difficult to breathe, her coughs rattle her to the point of exhaustion.
I’m terrified that she’ll die. My dad tested positive for COVID a week ago and has been self-quarantining in the basement.
I’ve bought an over-the-counter inhaler, some cough drops, and pain-relief medication. We planned on roughing the storm out on our own. But now it seems like she’s getting worse.
I don’t know what to do. I’m just a scared teen. Is there someone I can call to help her? What can I do? Please pray with me.
