السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I know in today's day and age, Muslims are looked down upon in several countries be they China or India and more. That they are treated like cattle locked away in these countries in humiliation centres.
And that because of the treatment and humiliation being carried out against Muslims across the world, unfortunately, many Muslims have a low opinion on Islam or Muslims down to this.
Some Muslims have even gone to the extreme due to humiliation and left Islam as a reaction to the online abuse and the mockery they have suffered as a result of their Islam and their love for our beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم
How do we fix this problem?
I feel that to counter this, more needs to be done in teaching the Muslim youth that we should never be ashamed of being a Muslim and that rather we should be honoured.
People tend to forget the history of Islam and Muslims is a lot richer then it is seen as today. To think of the many stories that would make one proud of Islam and being a Muslim that could be told from the many regions in which Islam settled should make one reflect sincerely.
From our history in Turkey to our history in India; to lands we never conquered militarily be they Indonesia or Malaysia. Our history tells us a lot of the fruits of Islam.
Nevermind the fruits that came from our earliest expansions in Arabia, Persia and northern Africa. To our reign in Spain, to our influences in advancements made in science, medicine, education, mathematics and more. To the liberation of the Holy lands and those who were martyrs to Muslim land under Muslim rule.
Certainly, the stories of the bravery, the honesty and the nobility of the Muslims can be found everywhere. And where we find these stories, we find the Qur'an and Sunnah being up-held. We find Muslims fight for the word of Allah to rise higher than the word of falsehood.
Stories like these make me proud to be a Muslim alone and so should they make you proud.
Now, not to paint a picture that all of Islam's history Muslims were great since sure, like all civilisations, there were blemishes and mistakes made by Muslims, much like we see today, but the good has massively outweighed the bad and I mean massively. And we should tell the Muslims today of the good and learn from the bad.
When you compare Muslim history and its fruits to the "fruits" of Christianity, you'd find the more religiosity of a state in Muslim history, the more advancement of civilization you would see. When you see the more "religiosity" of Christianity, you'd find people being discouraged by the Church themselves for thousand-odd years from reading the Bible. You'd find the Dark ages in Europe and more.
The enlightenment happened in Europe when the influence of the Church faltered and it came from the hard work off the back of Muslim and Jews works in al-Andalus when the Spanish inquisition saw Muslims and Jews flee from the barbarian Christians.
When we start to go far from the book of Allah عزّ وجلّ you will find humiliation and defeat, after all, never a victory.
And I say this, and anyone can correct me, is that the Muslims became more worldly near the end of our reign in al-Andalus, the Jizya (poll-tax) on the non-Muslims gradually increased, in the fields of France Muslims broke their lines to chase after gold and the worldly possessions leading us in defeat which would otherwise see Muslims have conquered France.
What though about the fruits of atheism?
There really is none. Atheists share the most illogical position in the world but try to call people to their faith (yes, it does require faith to be an atheist) by laughably branding it as the most "logical" position when their position on the world has ZERO benefits but so as to bring a people down slowly to the path of degeneracy, nihilism and ultimately self-destruction.
I can't think of any real benefits of atheism. It's funny also when atheists seem to acknowledge this so they try to intermingle science with atheism since it has no benefits otherwise. They try to claim scientific achievements as their own when the history of science, possibly even the invention of the modern scientific method itself, came from someone religious (maybe even a Muslim).
Atheism is one of the more pathetic beliefs (or lack thereof) of them all. Is it no wonder it comes in phases throughout human history and dies out quite rapidly? People see through it as the sham it is and then fall back to their natural human inclinations of their being a divine. Atheists also don't help themselves much either by their low-birth rates.
What is worse is, atheists you'd encounter on Reddit, many of them are so arrogant it is unbelievable. For a people who "don't know" they love to misrepresent your religion, rely on emotional argumentation and appeal to morals which they can't ground anywhere ironically without a need for a divine. These firebrand atheists make a mockery of our beloved Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم and then play the victim like ex-Muslims when they wonder why Muslims do not like them.
If it weren't for my lack of clarity on the best Islamic approach of debate and what ridicule is allowed and what ridicule should be avoided in Islam. I'd have most certainly spent more effort in ridiculing these arrogant and detestable creatures in the only manner they understand (which be memes and parody) so as to humble them and make them realise they know nothing really at all about Islam.
Their arguments against Islam only fool the ones who are ashamed of being Muslim already and look for any bankrupt reasons to jump ship or those who already have a bad perception of Islam due to the actions of Muslims they know in real life be it their family or friends or groups like Daesh who are finished.
You find many of their arguments to be emotional, either pointing to something stupid their parents have said, looking for science in a book which isn't teaching it or in isolating one or more hadiths of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to try and portray Islam as nasty or disgusting while at the same time these ex-Muslim people from experience would complain of the OCD of having to clean their dirty selves a lot when they were Muslim. Showing inconsistency and further lack of understanding.
The more I think of it really, and the most disgusting and silly arguments I see come against Islam from atheists and ex-Muslims. I find when one has properly researched Islamic history, from early Islam till today, read either the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم or various hadiths and enjoin on oneself some sense of pride of being a Muslim and having faith in Islam and reading the Qur'an. You find not a single piece of these arguments or attempts to ridicule you has an effect on you and phase you in the slightest.
In the end, really, Islamic history is better than the history of atheism, polytheism, and Christianity combined.
And just to add, when you see the lies these people go to to try and discredit Islam and when you find an answer to their weak arguments your belief in Islam gets so strong that even if you have not found an answer to some of their other claims, you'll know it is most likely like the rest, weak or misrepresented anyways.
I am also glad for people like brother Farid who make a mockery of these people on YouTube, and the other brothers and sisters who I follow on Twitter who drag ex-Muslims daily in their pathetic attempts to ridicule Islam. These people who provide answers for those Muslims who doubt strengthen their faith and they will be rewarded for ان شاء الله
I pray also like how we have people on YouTube and Twitter that respond to ex-Muslims and atheist and Christian propagandists having no mercy against them, that we have more people like these on Reddit and more subreddits like r/MuslimRespond or r/ExMoslemInc pop-up as places for ex-Muslim/atheist ridicule.
People like Farid have helped many realise the lies of Apostate For-Profit or Dead Wood and made many Muslims return back to Islam. May Allah سبحانه وتعالىٰ reward them all for their efforts.
Man, I don't even know what this post is anymore, a rant?
Anyways, just to finish off, I just want to say I am proud of being a Muslim. Not only for the vastness of our history but also for our clarity in our religion with its profound ability for it to always have an answer for almost everything; if not everything, that a frothing atheist or ex-Muslim can throw at it.
If you've even bothered to read this all. I hope it was in any way beneficial to you.
If I've made any mistakes, whether through spelling or in a point I made, please note I'm only human; feel free to point it out privately or publically.
جزاك اللهُ خيراً
