We’ve had 125 people indicate that they want to participate in an Eid Gift Exchange this year so insha’Allah we’ll be reviving this tradition. The highest we’ve had is 46 participants across 5 continents. Insha’Allah, let’s see if we can beat that!
- Sign up by sending me an email at eidgifts@gmail.com. Send this to me no later than Thursday, April 16th That's one week from today. Include the following information:
- Username (must be one that has posted in an Islamic subreddit and has not been created in the last week. no throwaways)
- Gender
- Country
- If you have a sibling/friend IRL that's also participating and you don't want to be matched with them.
Use a throwaway email address if you want but check it regularly. I'll be using email to communicate.

Within a few days of signing up, you should receive an email invitation to the gift exchange from elfster.com. Once you accept, you'll be asked to enter your username and mailing address. You do not have to sign up for the free membership to elfster.com.

Insha'Allah, your giftee will be selected by no later than April 18th You'll receive an email from elfster.com with a link to your giftee and his/her address. If the mailing address you receive seems fake send me an email within 24 hrs. I'll remove those usernames and get you matched with someone else.
What about international shipping?
I'm going to try my best to pair up people who are in the same country. This is why I'm asking for location. At the same time, realize that if you're from outside America/Canada/UK, it's going to be a bit harder for me to guarantee that you'll be shipping to the same country.
What if I'm a lurker?
If you're a lurker and still want to participate, you'll have to find some way to verify you're real.
