Hey everyone, I hope you are all doing well in this hard time. First let me say that although I am an atheist my intention is not to wave my non belief around, but to rather ask a question respectfully about your beliefs and how it pertains to my own situation. My family is Catholic but I haven't believed in a long time and have been very open about it when asked, but every year at Christmas my grandmother asks me to go to church with her. I go, but I don't partake in the rituals such as taking communion. I think my grandmother thinks that just getting me into the church is good for my soul, and even though I have absolutely no belief in religion I think that if in the end she's right about religion then God would look favorably on a person who can bring a non believer to church and listen to the word of God. My question to you all is in relation to this last point. If you were to have a non believer accompany you to a mosque for prayer, would Allah view this favorably? Or would it be considered disrespectful or even blasphemous? I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this.
