A question came into my mind regarding this marriage. Being a revert for hardly a year now,my faith is still being tested.
I wonder why did the Prophet married zaynab binte jash who was previously His adopted son's ex wive. I get that it was to break the arabic custom of adoption and all but I have to be honest...the verse that the Prophet is revealed regarding His marriage seems a bit convinient.
I dont want to return to disbelieving again but there has to be something I am missing here other than what can be plainly interpreted.
