The morality of hell has been deterring me from my faith alot for the past year. I guess the best way to explain my stance would be to give an example. Imagine there was a judge who judged people even before their crimes were brought up. Who ‘prejudged’ (yes, that is an actual word) a person based on whether he acknowledged him or not, or whether he complimented him 5 times a day or never, or whether he assumed the judge had a son or a daughter. In the real world, this judge would be labelled as ‘prejudiced’ or ‘bigoted’ because, well, he is. He judges people not based on their actions but their mindsets and beliefs. This is a mockery of justice simply based on the fact that beliefs don’t harm anyone and it is ultimately the actions which have an affect on the external.
There's also the whole argument about what punishment is actually about, but really the thing above is really what is troubling my mind.
