I barely ever pray. You want to know what finally made me pray regularly and on time? Reading the Qur'an. That's it. Listen to the Qur'an being recited in arabic and read translations in your language of choice. I personally chose Juz Amma as I am familiar with the surahs already, I just wanted to learn what they meant, and from there it began to click. You have to ask yourself: am I really a Muslim or am I agnostic/atheist; and ask whether you are truly grateful to God for all the (innumerable) blessings in your life. There's not much more to it than that.
