I’m just wanting to know what everyone thinks. If someone wears it respectfully and appropriately, with the right intentions, would it be appropriate for someone that isn’t Muslim to wear the hijab?
I know in some countries, both Muslims and non-Muslim women wear the hijab because it’s law, but I’m wondering about anywhere.
I personally don’t wear the hijab as I’m not a Muslim woman, but I have a friend that is non-Muslim that wears it out of modesty and as a form of self-expression. I have considered wearing on in the past as I have an issue with a goiter in my neck that gets a lot of attention from people, but I feel like it wouldn’t be appropriate because of the intent? I’m not quite sure how to describe it.
I do love hijabs, I love that some use it as a form of self-expression, but I just wanted to know how you felt about non-Muslims wearing the hijab for any intent like self-expression, fashion, or even modesty. Thank you.
