Why don't we?
I grew up in a practicing household and attended an Islamic school from kindergarten till 8th grade.
I didn't know where babies came from till grade 10. I thought it was absolutely haram to talk to or like girls. I thought my scrotum was my bladder for a while after it first appeared. I had no idea why I was 'peeing' myself while I slept.
You can imagine the confusion when I slowly learned the truth about...everything. I understand we shouldn't teach our kids any of this stuff while they're young, but we take it a step further and don't even teach them at all.
What do prominent scholars or even the prophet himself have to say about the topic of sex ed? What about your childhood, did your parents teach you any of this stuff?
