Hi, not actually a muslim here i share a dorm with a muslim. The way it's arranged is that there's 3 bedrooms that share the same living room. Each bedroom accommodates 2 people so there's a total of 6 available rooms. Currently there's just me, a dude from china and and pakistani that's the muslim in question.
So recently the pakistani dude has been doing prayers in the living room even if me and the other guy are doing something else like watching videos or going homework. He tells us to leave the living room every time he prays which is i think is a dick move. Can't he just pray in his room instead of making a big deal? personally i've been taught to respect other religions but i've also been taught that your religious practice is something you don't force others to comply to.
I can't even call him out on this or else he'd consider it a religious hate crime. or am i the asshole in this scenario?
