We are Muallaf Hijrah Center from Indonesia. We protect Muallaf (converts) and take care of our brothers & sisters after shahadah, we teach them Islam until they understand how to do salah(Fiqih), read quran, Akhlak (Attitude) as a muslim, Sirah Nabawiyah (Our Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) Stories), and etc
In fact, converts often get opposition from people around especially their families; there are converts left by their husband / wife / children thrown away by their families until tortured by their families because they do not agree with their decision to convert to Islam. Many converts must leave the house to fight for their decision to convert to Islam. In addition to leaving the house, it is not uncommon for converts to be forced by their families from their workplaces for security reasons to avoid families who sometimes commit acts of violence in an effort to make converts revert to their previous religion. Until now MHC has taken care of 30 Muallaf. Since its establishment, MHC Sunnah has no permanent domicile, so the MHC Sunnah shelter has moved domiciles twice. First established, we lent for free a house with a musholla in it, in the Kemayoran area of Central Jakarta. In Kemayoran, MHC Sunnah is growing rapidly, partly because of its location in the center of the city, making it easy for MHC to coordinate with various Mualaf Center organizations and various relevant stakeholders. Some of the converts in the MHC Sunnah shelter are converts mandated by the Indonesian Center for Muslim Organization (MCI). In addition, being domiciled in the Capital makes it easy for us to find volunteers from students and other young people. However, in early February 2019, we were informed that we had to leave our domicile within one month. Where at that time there were eleven converts consisting of seven brothers and four sisters and the pilgrims and administrators.
Alhamdulillah, Allah give us help, because within 4 days of the specified time we get a free home loan in the area of Bintara, Bekasi with an undetermined time duration and in May 2019, Thank God we got a waqf land of 463m2 in the area of numbers South Jakarta. God willing, we intend to build a permanent shelter for converts & pilgrims who can be accessed 24 hours with a better guidance system.
