I grew up very Muslim and religious. I got deep into religion because I thought it might help with my homosexuality. Alas, it only lead to misery and mental breakdown. Now I'm fully comfortable being gay, but I'm not sure what to do with my belief. I wish I could continue being Muslim (I'm on the verge of being ex-muslim), but it's hard for me to support a religion that pushes for killing people like me (in the extreme cases), or in the least, allows for immense discrimination.
I'd like to hear more opinions about this :)
