Assalamu alekykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh everyone, So the other day I brought up asking the administrators at my school about going to jummah every Friday and missing about 1.5 hrs of my classes at the end of the day to my mother. (I recently have been going to jummah for the past 2 or 3 weeks and it feels great honestly and I have been able to go because I didn't have school during the jummah time when I normally do.) After I told my mom about this she was like no I don't support you because this will affect your schoolwork and grades. From my perspective it seems like both my parents have the perspective that the dunya is more important than the akhirah and I do not believe my mother understands the great virtue of praying jummah salah and praying in congregation. Anyone have any advice on how to resolve this issue? Because I want to go to jummah bad and the classes I would miss would be classes that I assume wouldn't be too hard.
