I take Arabic and my teacher is Muslim and we are all bringing in food to celebrate winter break coming soon, I was thinking about making chicken empanadas and I want my teacher to be able to eat them. Thanks

Edit: Are empanadas halal? I don't have a great understanding of what is and is not halal outside of not eating pork
