It’s not Eid! By all means enjoy the festive season from an external point of view - go drive round the city with your families and see the lights, enjoy each other’s company on this day off, order a pizza, go to a Muslim run halal restaurant, go to the mosque and sit into a lecture about Prophet Esa (AS)... but don’t be dancing around a Christmas tree!
It’s a strange thing for Muslims especially those who live in the west, as it’s all around us and sometimes people cave in the pressure to fit in, sometimes people cave into peer pressure or family pressure. You will know how to best handle your personal situations. But be proud of who you are, what you believe in! You wouldn’t be celebrating Diwali, Hanukkah or what ever other religions do... so why Christmas?!
