I'm familiar with the ruling that the hair must be all one length. I started abiding by this a few years ago. But I see prominent figures and people with significant Islamic knowledge who have different lengths.
I saw a famous reciter with almost fully shaved sides but long hair on top. So I'm confused about the ruling.
What is true?
