As we all know India is a secular country, this Secular word is ingrained in it's constitution, means no religion is prominent and no religion is small in this country.Every religion is equal and same in India. But opression/inequality is started in the country. I will leave other small topics aside and discuss the bigger issue. During the current government BJP has implemented many laws and many decisions were take which were against muslims. Triple talaq banned, then terrorist fringes who destroyed Babri Masjid are still at large(supreme court iteself accepted that destroying the mosque was against law) and instead of justice the supreme court give the land to the hindus for temple. Forceful lockdown of Kashmir for more than 110 days. But this is nothing compared to what's coming. The current goverment is now trying to implement National Register of Citizenship. At glance it looks good that their is register for that but intentions behind this is wrong. I will tell you why.
The NRC is already implemented in a closed population of small state Assam.. A state sharing border with neighboring country Bangladesh. Reason given that there is illegal bangladeshi infiltration in India. Upto now its good. NRC implemented in Assam. Now the exclusion list is released and around 2 million people are excluded in it. Now if we see the demography 1.2 million of this are Hindus and 0.8 million are muslims. Since current government is Hindutva leaning it seems contradictory that they will exclude 1.2 million hindusout of the country or detain them. (Ideally the government has to be just and unbiased regardless of the religion)
Here another things comes which tells How muslim opression will further continue. The government of India is now trying to implement Citizenship Ammenent Bill. This bill states that "Any refugee be it Hindu , Sikh, Buddhist, Jain,Christian will be given citizenship of India ,EXCEPT MUSLIMS. So the 1.2 million Hindus which are excluded from the NRC will get Citizenship of India . Now who is left? Yes,Muslims.But this 2 million is only from the state of Assam which is a small state. There are 27 states and 9 other Union terroritoris other than Assam. This a plan of divide and creating rift in Indian population . It seems contradictory that a country in which secular word is in its preamble is giving citizenship on the basis of religion. But this is what is happening now in India. So already detentions centres are under c)onstruction in India. So in future if you read the same news about muslims in India as in china ,then dont startle . Coz you already know whats going on.
