“𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐦 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐚𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 (ﷺ) 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐬𝐡-𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞d 𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐥 𝐛𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐢𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞. However we [the followers of the salafi movement], as is the case in all matters where there is disagreement, follow whatever is supported by the proof whatever that is, without blindly sticking to the opinions of men. We do not align ourselves except with the truth. So with regard to the question of tawassul, which we are presently discussing, then we see that the truth is with those who warn against tawassul by means of any created being, and we warn against tawassul by means of any created being.”
Could this mean Imam Ahmad was an innovator or even a mushrik? 😱. But that’s impossible right?
