Asalamu Alaykum, Brothers and Sisters!
My name is Ali Zein. I am a Shia Muslim living in Michigan, and I’m 15 years old.
For a 15 year old, hamdillah, I’m not very influenced by the shaytan. I’m not into smoking, nor ghiba (backbiting), nor going out and doing haram with “friends” - and I even read the Quran very often.
However, a lot of good things come from the biggest part of our religion; prayer. And this is my problem.
Please do not be mad for this, as I’m now sure I’m mukalaf, and don’t see this as an excuse, but I, for some reason, can not pray on a consistent basis. Every couple of weeks or so, I get very into it, praying all 5 a day, and some days - well, some days I don’t even pray at all.
I’m wondering if any of you have had similar experiences, and if so, what did you do to solve it?
I don’t want to be led astray like the rest of the kids I know.
