Entry of non Muslims in Mecca.

Hello dear r/islam members, assalamualiyqum.

So, I was on Quora and was browsing through the Islam space and I read the answer of this popular muslims Quoran. He is well educated and I like almost all his answers. He holds a liberal view and thus he is a critic of certain muslims, clerics, and beliefs.

Now one of his answers was about the entry of non muslims in mecca. He said that there shouldn't be any restriction on non muslims in entering mecca kaaba. According to my knowledge, the entry of non muslims is prohibited due to a quranic verse.

Now, what is your view on this. Do you think that entry of non muslims should be allowed in mecca or kaba?
