Shirk is pretty much the only one I know. Iirc a muslim is someone who submits their will to God, so doesn't that mean someone who doesn't follow obligatory Islamic teachings isn't muslim even if they say they are?

We see a lot of 'progressive muslims' nowadays, usually this means they partake in and endorse certain haram acts, or don't partake in certain obligatory acts.

If someone who calls themselves muslim willingly and unapologetically does haram; are they still within the fold of Islam?

How about someone who for example doesn't pray and believes it isn't obligatory, are they considered Muslim?

Obviously I know nobody has the right to tell someone else whether they are muslim or not, or going to heaven or hell. That's not what I'm asking, I'm asking from the perspective of the religion itself.
