Is it possible to have a mini-marriage in Christian style where the imam can announce "I declare you husband and wife" in presence of minimal number of people, preferably only the parents?

Of course, there will be mahr, nikahnama etc but I was wondering if marriage can be a very private and inconspicuous in Islam.
