Abdullah ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the guardian of his family and he is responsible for them. A woman is the guardian of her husband’s home and his children and she is responsible for them. The servant of a man is a guardian of the property of his master and he is responsible for it. No doubt, every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.”

There is no difference of opinion whatsoever on this matter. All the scholars of the salaf and those who inherited their knowledge agreed that a woman and a man have different roles in marriage and even society. Sure, they differed on some details of the roles, but the concept is agreed upon.
Women and men are equal in the eyes of Allah in terms of virtue and in the sense that they are both to be treated kindly and with justice. After that, they are not the same. And whoever says that they are the same after that commits kufr because its well known that they differ in many things such as inheritance and their obligations, and so they are rejecting obvious beliefs of Islam and the Quran.
And Allah knows best concerning all of that.
