I have made an oath on the Holy Quran to protect my non-muslim country that I was born and raised in.

Not sure If this is the place to ask said question please guide me.

As said in the title, I have made an oath to protect my country. A lot of people have asked me a question. I would like to point out that I am against war.

In case a war broke out between my non-muslim country and a muslim country, which side would I take. I believe that I should take the side of the country I have taken an oath to protect. But now that I am thinking about it I dont know what I would do.

My fellow soldiers ask me would I be able to point a gun and shoot a fellow muslim in such conditions.

Does the Holy Quran say anything on this matter?
