I came across Omar Hisham al Araby on Youtube and really liked his style for I believe Surah Al-Jinn. I clicked on another video of his and ended up on this recitation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHDmxMrCfCw
Immediately I noticed it was much, much different and sounded sort of like a song. The melody or whatever was similar to what I would hear if I turned on the radio. I scrolled down to the comments expecting backlash, only to find nothing but love.
Is there anything wrong with this recitation? It sounds like it follows tajweed but I've always been told not to recite as if I'm singing. I personally find it pleasing to listen to, I'm just curious.
