My friend is stressed out about a situation shes in. Her father passed away 3 month ago, and she found out that he owed alot in credit card debt. Fortunetly, there is no state law that makes children inherit debt, the banks just write off the debt. But her mother who doesnt have a job, is forcing my friend to pay off the debt anyways, saying how her father wont be able to get into paradise if he still owes debt. My friend is now completly stressed out as she is still young but is now required to pay off a huge sum of money for the next 5-10 years of her life instead of investing and saving for herself. I dont know much about islam debt inheritance and researching I am getting answers from all over the place. What should my friend do in this case?
