The Masjid is the most important place for any muslim but when it comes to you being a true muslim most of your work is done outside the masjid. Obvious i know, but here's what i mean ....
Think about this, How many of the 5 pillars are we doing everyday? we say shahada everyday ( if not, you have bigger problems) and then you have salat. so the question is if we're only doing 2 out the 5 on a daily basis where's the rest of my deen ?
Here's where :
- obedience to parents
- giving sadaqat ( charity)
- seeking knowledge
- dealing fairly in business dealings
- Having the best charachter
- Treating your husband and wife with kindness
- giving Dawah to non-muslims
- Having Haya ( modesty )
- Feeding the poor
- Maintaining Family ties
- Dealing justly/fairly with people
- Enjoining the good and forbidding the Evil
- Love for your brother/sister what you love for yourself
The list could be a lot bigger but the moral of the story is Non-muslims don't see us praying in the masjid or at home what they do see is what is listed above and that is the best way to promote our deen. May allah make it easy for us all
