I mean except for Albania, Kosovo, and a few places, Islam has never really breakthrough among native Europeans especially Western Europeans. Spain was Muslim for hundreds of years (I am oversimplifying it I know it was more complex than that) but no records of mass conversion.
Are Europeans and white people generally more hostile to Islam than others?
It is because of some historical mistakes made by our past rulers (indiscriminate offensive warfare, slavery, the capture of western women)? I've decided to listen to the other side (European Christians) and it looks like they have been absolutely traumatized by us historically, they seem to see Muslims as lacking ethic, as sex addicts (especially when they talk about Muslims rulers in North Africa having 100s of concubines, basically respecting the letter of the law but not the spirit of Islam) and as ruthless while they obviously portray Christians to be loving and not as much lustful.
I know they must be overexaggerating but it there any truth to that? Could our past rulers have done things differently while staying true to our Religion? Was it because the Church would have actively fought any attempt to convert Christians Europeans to Islam?By the way, would a Muslim be allowed to practice his Religion in Medieval Christian Europe?
Why is Islam seen as a brown people Religion?
