Is Islam compatible with Western Society? It’s no secret that the holy scriptures of Islam have vastly different views and values to the West. For example they propagate that:
Women are subservient to men
Apostasy should be punishable by death
Infidels should be converted, killed, or pay Jizya (spelling?)
I am just trying to see how a muslim can support the directive of the holy scriptures and hold Western beliefs of egality and freedom at the same time, I by no means believe that Muslims are incompatible with Western Society, for I know many brilliant Muslims that are hard working members of society, my question is directed at the beliefs in the holy scriptures.
