I know there is at least one hadith which says we should ask Allah SWT about what we need/want without saying “if You will,” as the act of asking is accomplishing that. Furthermore, we ask with certainty that the dua will be accepted in some form, and saying “if You will” introduces uncertainty—ie, perhaps He will not accept my dua at all if He does not will to.

Is saying “please” the same? To me, in the English language, “please” is just a way to show humbleness and to proper manners when beseeching. However, I also understand that it implies “if you will.” Should it be avoided? I know this sounds like such a minor issue to worry about, but I don’t want to be deficient in this regard.
