Don’t count your chickens before they hatch, but in theory if/when a caliphate is re-established, could a Muslim leave the caliphate to live somewhere else? Historically I know of Islamic explorers and thinkers who wandered the world, and of course gave dawah, but were they all citizens of the caliphate and that was their home?
I’m just curious about this. I can’t imagine a world where a devout Muslim would choose to live outside of the caliphate for his/her entire life, but judgement is not for me to pass. How would they be considered by the state?*
