Is it haram or makruh to learn about other religions including reading primary texts like the Bible?

I’m wondering about this question because of this Hadith and dua from the Prophet:

Zayd ibn Arqam reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would supplicate, “O Allah, I seek refuge in you from disability, sloth, cowardice, miserliness, senility, and the punishment of the grave. O Allah, grant my soul a sense of righteousness and purify it, for you are the best purifier. You are the Protector and Guardian. O Allah, I seek refuge in you from knowledge that does not benefit, from a heart that is not reverent, from a soul that is not content, and from a supplication that is not answered.”
