I just found out historical records show that the city was exactly a center of dissipation and perversity. Paired with its sudden horrendous destruction it sounds similar to the destruction of the Qawmu Ad, Thamud, and Lut.
I’m curious because stories mentioned in the Quran or Bible are claimed to be made up fiction, but here is a city and it’s destruction that is similar to the ones I mentioned and is recorded in history to definitely have happened with its leftovers seen and recorded.
