Did i perform ghusl the right way?

Salam aleykum wa barakatu,

Like any other human on this planet i had "that" kind of dream, i wanted to perform ghusl then but i was not sure if i was doing it right (i did the way my teacher told me) so i looked up in the internet and as expected all sites were saying something different and so i chose the sunnah ghusl (Schafi'i) way

Here's how i did it:

1. Have the intention to perform ghusl and be pure again
2. Wash my hands till to the wrist (1 time, it was not mentioned how often and i heard you have to do it one time)
3. Wash the private parts and any part which had contact with (filth? Unpure?) and these were both hands
4. Perform Wudu
5. Wash my head including the roots and the skin (3 times)
6. Wash every bodypart on the right side (3 times)
7. Same thing for the left
8. Wash my feet at the sink

I wanted to mention that i washed my head also again 3 times while washing my bodyparts and also i washed the private part on the back (left hand)

I have a big feeling i did something wrong, and i'm in doubt i did. Do i have to perform again? And if so when should i do it, my mother will be asking why you want to shower again
