Assalamualaikum. This will be a short writeup on what I think the problem with Muslims and the ummah is today.
The main problem, I believe lies with our ability to stand for truth or to recognize truth when it comes to us. This is directly tied to politics and . I don' mean this in terms of islam but rather in terms of more worldly affairs. On this sub, i've seen many times political posts regarding Erdogan or other politicians and in the comments section there is always someone treating Erdogan, or Imran Khan like he's divinely inspired and can do no wrong (astagfirullah). The Prophet (SAW) said that all people are prone to fitnah. We shouldn't treat our leaders like they're perfection. I've seen that a lot of Muslims treat their leaders like they can do no wrong. Tbf, there is a lot of propaganda but as Muslims with access to the net, we should be better. We should judge the actions of our leaders with how the Prophet (SAW) would have acted.
Another example was a picture of some Israeli troop and a Palesitinian that was posted on here some month ago. Everyone in the comments sections jumps to conclusions what's happening in the picture. We should not let ourselves get baited like this. Recall the story of Daud and the two brothers. I know Israel is doing some bad things but we should not let ourselves be controlled by these emotions of hate that blind us from truth.
