Question for Guyanese Muslims

I was browsing the Wikipedia page about Guyanese Muslims. I’m Surinamese myself and from an Islamic background. Unfortunately, I lost my faith.

I read about the discrimination and how Guyanese Muslims were allowed to vote till 1994. I’m wondering how Guyanese Muslims feel in their country. Do they feel safe? Do they feel underrepresented? Ignored? What were your experiences?

I know there aren’t many Guyanese Muslims out there, but I feel like this is the best way to reach out to them.

My experiences were quite pleasant. People don’t hate Muslims in Suriname, they don’t persecute Muslims and they don’t bash Muslims. For Surinamese standards, my dark sense of humor is considered extreme.
