Salaam. I apologize in advance because I am not sure how to correctly format a post and I am not sure of many terms.
My mother and fathers family are both very muslim orientated. But we do not wear hijabs, only my grandmothers. Most of us fast, and pray. Mainly the women.
My mother is religious, which is great. She tought and is teaching me and well and about the Koran.
My father, when growing up, put up the appearance of following. I am sure, almost guaranteed he believes due to his candidness with us. But I know he drinks alcohol.
Me and my sister, all of us in the US, are both minors and live with my parents. We go to parts with our Iranian friends are growing up I never saw him drink, and when I was around 9, I saw him drink beer, then as I got older, as I am younger than my sister, he got less careful. I would see him drink. Very, very, rarely, and not in our on home. But when grabbing things for him in his room I would see beer bottle caps.
Tonight at dinner, and I’m sure many times before, (because no one goes to the bathroom For 20 minutes) he “went to the batheroom” I was looking around for a waitress/waiter, and saw him at the bar drinking.
I am not judging him by any means. I’m just scared. I am afraid he will not go to heaven as he doesn’t fast or pray either. I am very scared and I do not know what to do.
Any advice is welcome. Thank you so much in advance.
