I'm above average in my knowledge of Islam, alhamdulillah, but there is one thing that I guess sort of bothers me. From what I remember the Quran makes it clear that those who go to hell will be tormented in there forever.
My 'problem' is that isn't it 'unjust' for the disbelievers and evildoers to spend an infinite time in hell when their sins were finite? Shouldn't they just pay their dues and then exit, going to Heaven or somewhere else, limbo maybe?
Again, the Quran says they will stay there for eternity, but then Allah is also the most just. How do we reconcile that?
