As-salamu alaykum brothers and sisters, I'm a revert from this year and my husband and I can't seem to find solid answers regarding halal meat. My husband says to be considered halal to consume it just shouldn't be pig/shouldn't be blessed in another dietys name. I've read online that it has to be slaughtered a certain way and blessed in the name of Allah but I'm unsure of the validity. The biggest concern is we live hours away from stores that advertise halal meat, so travelling hours to purchase it would be a large burden. Any advice is appreciated :)
