My dear son
Salam and Eid Mubarak, thank you for the email and letting me know your feelings. Sorry, because of Ramzan and Eid festivities, it took longer than usual to reply. As you have concluded that we can't change course of events at this stage, and I also feel that we have crossed too many bridges. I realize this may be difficult times for you but I think it is also important to stay cool and composed. I am confidant that you have extensive experience of dealing with tough times and fully capable of managing your problems. As I have seen for majority of people time keeps on changing. It is mix of successes and failures, happiness and helplessness, swings of mind and mood. Sometimes one feels high and elated, sometimes down and dejected. I will strongly urge you and particularly, whenever, you have feelings of doom and gloom, disappointments and hopelessness, always turn towards Allah. Trust him, beg Him, seek His help, and surely he will guide you and make things easier for you now and in future. Just give small charity (it can be as little as one dollar) to the mosque or someone needy, whenever feasible. Stay focused, keep trying your best, look forward, think positive, no feelings of jealousy or malice towards anybody, friend or foe, and remain patient and humble. I have experienced bad times, good times, at time making ends meet difficult, remember living in a small rented house and driving a small Suzuki. Nevertheless, whenever, I look back and reflect, my faith gets even more strong and I firmly believe that we are among the lucky who have been blessed by Allah in so many ways. Don’t worry, you re an intelligent and hard working young man, I am quite hopeful and have firm faith in Allah that happier times are not very far.
You are always in our prayers and Best Wishes Baba
