Greetings and peace be with you, everyone. Let me be brief. With the recent celebration of the first woman in hijab and “burkini” apparel featured in an upcoming issue, I wanted to ask your opinions on the matter.

Do you view it as a chance to explore your religious habits (attire sense)? Is it seen disrespectfully? Do you believe this is beneficial for progressive Islam? Do you fear this may lead to a sexualization of these garments? Is there any anger over this?

These are mainly aimed at American Muslims to see the attitudes my countrymen and women share, but of course all are welcome to share opinions. If you wouldn’t mind, please denote your country so I know to try understanding if there is a religious cultural difference between American Muslims and those elsewhere.

Thank you for your responses, and have a blessed day.
