I will be visiting my friend's mosque in a few days and need some advice on customary dress, etc. I asked her these questions, but the last time I went to a Muslim event (her Eid party) I was under dressed (and probably should have brought food), because she told me to just show up and to not make a big deal of it.
First, I am a woman - married (not sure if that's relevant), and will be taking my young son. I need to know how to dress, whether I should bring a dish or a gift and what not to do.
