Hi all

Asalam to you. I hope Ramadan is going well for you.

I’m sure there’s a few people who suffer from anxiety and depression on this sub. I was wondering what ways you have found to manage your mental illness. It can be something relating to Islam or something else that isn’t related to Islam.

I would post this on /r/depression but sadly that sub seems like an echo chamber of people who are really unwell.

I personally like to workout (I don’t do it as much). I also used to really enjoy going for walks but this month has been especially difficult in my mental health. Complications at work have also caused my mental health to deteriorate. I feel myself being engulfed in a slump.

I’ve kept up with my prayers and my fasts and I’m on course (inshallah) to finish the quaran this Ramadan.

Any suggestions on how to improve mental health would be greatly appreciated, not only, to myself but to other as well.
