In the past two weeks, I have noticed that many non muslims and some deviant people are very active on subs like r/Islam r/MuslimMarriage and r/Hijabis

I have seen a “self proclaimed proud atheist sexually adventurous gay person in open relationships with many boyfriends” give advise in r/Islam.

Atheists replying as if they were muslims is a common sight. And of course their reply are against islamic teachings, and some brothers and sisters unknowingly upvote these replies and think that it’s a fellow muslim who wrote them and therefore that they are acceptable or appropriate.

The most shocking one I’ve seen : An escort girl very active on escort subreddit giving advice in r/Hijabis. Imagine she was replying to a post from a girl who engaged is zina and was very ashamed for it. And basically her reply was “you did not harm anyone / didn’t do anything wrong”

When muslim people come to these subs, unconsciously they think everyone they are interacting with is muslim. Therefore even anti-islamic advice is taken into consideration. They are basically thinking “this was a muslim saying this so it must be a valid opinion”. With the time these anti-islamic opinions rub off on real muslim people, and that’s how they develop a skewed view of Islam. So sometimes you ll hear these wrong islamic opinions coming from real muslims.
